The CITY SINNERS were formed in Glasgow to pay tribute to the music of GRAM PARSONS and EMMYLOU HARRIS. They are not a ‘tribute band’ as such, their aim being simply to play the music of these artistes in a respectful way, while not attempting to look like them, or slavishly copy recordings.

The band  members all have a wealth of experience  on the Scottish Country/Americana music scene, and over the years have  individually collaborated with a wide range of artistes including Jason Ringenberg, Jim Lauderdale, Gene Parsons, Martin Stephenson, Laura Cantrell, Chip Taylor, The Wynntown Marshals, and the late Rab Noakes.

The current line up is IAIN BARBOUR (electric and acoustic guitars), JOHN HINSHELWOOD (acoustic guitar, vocals), LOUISE McATEE (vocals, acoustic guitar), FRANK McHUGH (drums), DAVID McKEE (bass, vocals), MALCOLM McMASTER (pedal steel, dobro).
