One of Americana music's most revered singer-songwriters.
Join us in the beautiful, atmospheric setting of Cottiers Theatre for a performance by Kim Richey, one of Americana and Country music's most revered singer-songwriters.
A two-time Grammy-nominated artist, Kim Richey is a rare performer whose artistry is equally celebrated by industry heavyweights and devoted fans. She is a master storyteller who can leap from melancholy to mirthful in a single couplet, crafting elegant narratives that are praised by publications ranging from Rolling Stone to Time Magazine.
Beyond her own critically acclaimed albums, including recent release Every New Beginning, Kim Richey is the ultimate collaborator. Her celestial harmony vocals have graced records by Jason Isbell, Ryan Adams, and Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Brandi Carlile has cited her as a formative influence.
Carla J. Easton is a critically acclaimed, award-nominated singer-songwriter with four solo albums and collaborations with TeenCanteen, Belle & Sebastian, and National Theatre Scotland. She has performed internationally at major festivals and toured with Teenage Fanclub and The Vaselines. Her 2018 album Impossible Stuff was SAY Award-shortlisted, while 2020’s WEIRDO earned praise from Pitchfork and Bandcamp. In 2022, she released a debut album with Poster Paints, formed with Simon Liddell. Her latest album, Sugar Honey (2023), received strong support from BBC 6Music, BBC Radio Scotland, and CLASH Magazine, cementing her reputation as a vibrant force in indie pop.
